Roses experiences an April dedicated to the world of wine: DO Empordà Wine Exhibition and tasting workshops in the Gastronomic Classroom
As part of the Vívid Festival, the month of wine tourism on the Costa Brava, Roses offers a selection of proposals focused on the world of wine, which include the holding of several tasting workshops in the Aula Gastronòmica-Espai Juli Soler and the celebration, on April 26, of the DO Empordà Wine Show, which this year reaches its eleventh edition.
The Wine Show reaches its eleventh edition
On Sunday, April 26, from 11am to 3pm, the Roses promenade will host thirteen wineries from the Empordà region that will offer tastings of their products. The wine tastings will be accompanied by tastings of local cuisine prepared by renowned chefs from the region, created expressly to pair with the different varieties of wine.
This year, the participation of the Terra Remota, Hugas de Batlle, Celler Cooperatiu d'Espolla, Martín i Faixó, Vinyes dels Aspres, Mas Estela, Clos d'Agon, AV Bodeguers, Espelt Viticultors, Grup Peralada, Empordàlia, Mas Vida and Arché Pagès wineries will be expected.
In this way, the Roses Wine Exhibition offers the possibility of tasting, in the same space and day, different wine products produced by the best wineries in the Empordà and learning directly, from the hands of those responsible, all the details and secrets of their production.
It is also a good opportunity to discover all the possibilities that Empordà wine tourism offers to wine lovers, with the multiple visits and varied activities organized by the wineries on the Wine Route, of which Roses is considered the gateway.
Tasting workshops in the Gastronomic Room
This year the Roses Tourism Department is adding a new proposal to the Vívid program. It is a wine tasting series that, between April 9 and May 25, will offer an enological tour of the region's wine productions. A total of six workshops will take place, presented by the wineries themselves, which will allow you to learn about the characteristics of each of the wines presented, but also the history of each winery, the dedication and passion of the professionals behind it. The participating wineries are Grup Perelada, Espelt Viticultors, Clos d'Agon, Vinyes dels Aspres, Empordàlia and Martín i Faixó.

As the main tourist destination in Alt Empordà, Roses constantly works to promote the products of the territory among the local population, visitors and catering establishments, the main recipients of local products.
A significant part of this promotion is destined to the Empordà wine sector, which in recent years has become a widely recognized quality that Roses wants to highlight and make known, thus contributing to the growing interaction between tourism and oenology.
The Vívid Festival is an initiative promoted by the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board of the Girona Provincial Council, and receives the support and participation of the Regulatory Council of the DO Empordà, DO Empordà wineries, town councils and tourism companies in the territory.
