The City Council is once again offering a family entertainment programme on the beach for summer evenings during the months of July and August. Foam parties, discomobiles, zumba and children's shows alternate on different days of the week on the stages located along the Santa Margarita promenade, to become meeting points for leisure and entertainment and to make young and old enjoy themselves.

From July 1 to August 31, traffic in the Cap de Creus Natural Park from Roses is restricted

Today, Wednesday 1 July, the period of traffic restrictions begins in the coves of Cap de Creus located within the municipality of Roses, and will remain in place until 31 August. The restrictions are in force from 9.30 am to 4 pm, every day of the week. The access restrictions apply to vehicles with four or more wheels, whilst access by motorbike, on foot or by bicycle is permitted throughout the day. During the restricted hours, only authorised four-wheeled vehicles and people who can prove they have a booking for an activity within the park will be allowed access.

The Roses City Council is once again applying this season the plan to restrict motorized access to the Cap de Creus Natural Park, previously agreed upon with the management body of the Natural Park. This summer, the City Council is maintaining the adapted bathing area installed on La Punta beach, a space designed to facilitate access to the sea and guarantee safe enjoyment of the beach for people with reduced mobility, dependent people and groups of the elderly. The facility has a rest area with seats and safe swimming channels, with a floating and modular structure. Access is free.

Roses will once again celebrate the Sant Joan festival on June 23rd with a program that will merge tradition, popular culture and fun, and this year includes a new proposal: a DJ session on the beach of La Perola. Another novelty will be the reception of the Canigó Flame, which this year is more open to citizen participation by moving it to the street. Archaeological interventions uncover the site of the Visigothic monastery of Magrigul

This Saturday, the presentation of the discovery of the site of the Visigothic monastery of Magrigul took place in the church of Santa Maria de la Ciutadella, a complex of which until now there were only documentary references, and whose existence has now been confirmed thanks to the archaeological campaign carried out in recent years.
