Turisme de Roses starts the year by promoting the destination in Utrecht and Stuttgart
Turisme de Roses has started this January the promotion of the municipality that it carries out annually in fairs and exhibitions of the Catalan, national and international tourism sector, with which it continues to position the population among its main sending markets. The first events were the Vakantiebeurs fair, held in the city of Utrecht (Netherlands) between 9 and 12 January, and Fahrrad und WanderReisend, held in Stuttgart (Germany) from 18 to 20 January, where Turisme de Roses was present through the stand of the Catalan Tourist Agency.
Vakantiebeurs is a generic fair that brings together around 70,000 visitors, with a profile of customers looking for good weather, good gastronomy, cycling and hiking routes, culture, wines, outdoor activities, accommodation in campsites... all demands that the town of Roses can more than meet.
For its part, the Fahrrad und WanderReisen fair (with 48,000 visitors during the 2024 edition), is aimed at another of Roses' main target markets: that of lovers of cycle tourism and hiking, strengths of the Roses offer and which in recent years have gained weight in the population thanks to the promotion of projects such as the Ride Roses seal (awarded to establishments that have services and facilities adapted to the needs of cyclists); or the creation, signage and geolocation of routes for running, hiking, and cycling of all modalities (mountain biking, road and gravel), among other actions.
The presence of Roses Tourist Office staff in these large shop windows allows us to offer quality information and to introduce clients, agencies and operators first-hand to the wide range of tourist attractions in nature, sports, beaches, food and wine, culture, family tourism, etc., as well as the accommodation options, activities and services that Roses offers.
This year's season will also take the Area's technicians to visit other fairs and exhibitions of strategic importance for the tourism sector in Roses. At the moment, Roses' participation in F.RE.E München (Munich), Fiets En Wandelbeurs (Utrecht), Navartur (Pamplona), Bike Show (Copenhagen), Salon du Randonneur (Lyon), Mercat del Ram (Vic) and Expovacaciones (Bilbao) has already been confirmed.
