The wind did not disappoint. A steady sea breeze of between 15 and 16 knots provided ideal sailing conditions both for the most experienced racers and for those looking to enjoy the crossing in an unbeatable setting.

This edition maintained the two courses that have already been used in recent editions:

Riuet - GEN: The traditional point-to-point crossing from Riuet beach to the club’s facilities.

The GEN Triangle: A technical course from GEN towards Sant Pere, with an upwind mark and a return to the club.

The fastest sailors and foilers literally flew over the water, completing the course in an incredible 30 minutes.

The trophy presentation was attended by the President of the Federació Catalana de Vela (and former President of GEN Roses), Josep Maria Isern, who highlighted the race’s history and the strength of the club’s nautical community:

«This crossing of the bay is celebrating its 15th edition and has evolved into its current two-course format, but its origins date back to 1977, with other adaptations along the way. What started as an idea among a group of friends still keeps that spirit alive today: awarding the youngest sailor prize to the new generations and seeing how those instructors who once competed in the crossing are now part of the organising team. This shows that the club is more alive than ever, with constant activity», Isern highlighted.

From Grup Esportiu Nàutic de Roses, we would like to congratulate all the winners and thank every sailor who took part and helped make this great spectacle on the water possible. We would also like to thank the entire organising team, volunteers and safety staff for making the crossing an absolute success in terms of participation and atmosphere.
