Roses launches an audiovisual campaign to raise awareness about tourism sustainability

Turisme de Roses is launching a new campaign this week that aims to raise awareness among both local citizens and visitors about the importance of their active role in the sustainability of the municipality. The campaign includes the dissemination of 17 short videos made with the 2D motion graphics animation technique, and is part of the “Canvia't el xip 2” project, included within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) and financed with Next Generation EU funds.

Through a dynamic, fresh and approachable style, the audiovisual capsules address issues related to respect for the environment, but also economic, cultural and social aspects. Topics include waste management, the use of tourism resources, energy efficiency, coexistence between tourists and residents, or the promotion of local consumption, among others.

The videos are segmented according to the target audience -locals, according to residents, economic agents of the municipality and tourists- and seek to generate involvement through everyday situations and identity elements of Roses, such as the Ciutadella, the beaches, the fishing port or the giants. The pieces can be seen from today, Monday 4 August, on the Turisme de Roses YouTube channel , and will be part of a multi-channel dissemination strategy that will include campaigns on social networks and digital media.

This action is part of the Roses City Council's commitment to a more sustainable, innovative and responsible tourism model, and seeks to raise awareness among tourists and citizens about the efforts that must be made together, informing them with practical examples of what are the good sustainable practices to follow in daily life.

The content of this contract derives from the project "THE TOURISM TRANSFORMATION OF ROSES - REGENERATION TOURISM ROSES" of the Roses City Council co-financed through the Next Generation EU Funds, specifically within the Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations (PSTD) program, subsidies intended for the digital transformation and modernization of local entity administrations, extraordinary call 2021, promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
