Roses is taking part in the worldwide CLEAN4CHANGE initiative with a waste collection on 18 September. 10.09.2022
CLEAN4CHANGE 2022, a waste collection event open to all those who wish to participate in this worldwide event, will be held in Roses on 18 September. The activity is organised by TOMRA, a multinational company in the recycling sector based in Roses, with the collaboration of Roses ZeroPlàstics, Cabirols, Club Atletisme de Roses and Port de Roses.
The Cleanchange initiative brings together volunteers from all over the world to collect rubbish from leisure areas, the mountains and the sea, and take a step towards a cleaner and more sustainable planet. Anyone interested in taking part must register in advance using the QR code on the activity poster (attached). On Sunday 18, the day will start at 9 am and the meeting point is the SARFA station. The City Council of Roses will provide the collection and protection material and the company Tomra will offer a gift to all participants and a small breakfast at the end.
With the aim of mobilising collective awareness of the need to take action against environmental damage, TOMRA is also organising, together with the schools and colleges of Roses, a waste collection week from 19 to 23 September. In this way, the different classes, led by their tutors, will take walks in the nature near their school to collect the waste they find.
