XX Technical Conference of the Ports of Catalonia
On 9 and 10 May, the Port of Tarragona hosted the 20th Technical Conference of the Ports of Catalonia organised by the Catalan Association of Marinas and Tourist Ports (Ports de Catalunya-ACPET). This is an event that brings together every year the main representatives of the Catalan nautical sector as well as other guests from the rest of Spain.
The Port of Tarragona was the host of this year's edition. The opening ceremony was led by the President of Ports de Catalunya-ACPET, Albert Bertran, the President of OCIBAR-Port Tarraco, Toni Zaforteza, the President of the Port Authority of Tarragona, Saúl Jarrete Puig, and the Mayor of Tarragona, Rubén Viñuales.
During the two days of the Technical Conference several presentations were held such as ‘90 days before the 37th America's Cup’; the ‘Situation of Recreational Boating’; ‘Concession Extensions’ or ‘Sailing towards a sustainable future by promoting renewable energy in our ports’ by Sonnen, new sponsor of Ports de Catalunya-ACPET; among other topics.
