Turisme de Roses adds to the 'Roses a Peu' program new trips to observe the fauna and flora of Cap de Creus
The successful excursion program Roses a Peu que Turisme de Roses has been offering for several editions to deepen the knowledge of the natural and heritage environment of the municipality, it is expanded this year with new trips dedicated to the observation of the flora and fauna of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus. Between the months of October and December, the excursions 'Circular Montjoi-Cap Norfeu', 'Cadaqués-Roses: the Camí de les Dones', 'The dry stone and megalithism' and the observations 'Mammals of the Cape' have been scheduled de Creus' and 'Autumn plants and colors in Punta Falconera'. New proposal: get to know the animals and plants of the Natural Park
This autumn Turisme de Roses opens to the public a new activity aimed at getting to know the fauna and flora of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus. The first outing will take place next Sunday, October 20 , and will consist of a tour guided by Ignasi Batet, a great connoisseur of mammals in the natural park , which will allow participants to learn about the habits, tracks and secrets of these animals.
On November 16, the experience will tour Punta Falconera to immerse walkers in the colors that nature offers us in this area during autumn and, with the help of botanist Joan Fon t, get to know the wide mosaic of plants that gathers the Rosin coast, including medicinal plants.
Both outings will last approximately two and a half hours and you must bring breakfast, water and appropriate clothing and footwear.
Roses on foot schedules a monthly outing
At the same time, 'Roses a pie' continues to offer this autumn interesting outings to deepen the knowledge of the municipality's natural environment. All of them are accompanied by official guides from the Cap de Creus Natural Park , who provide information on the different places visited during the paths and trails.
Saturday 26 October will take place a circular route between Montjoi and Cap Norfeu , which will allow you to enjoy the fantastic landscape of Cap de Creus and its coves (Montjoi, Calitjàs, Pelosa...). Passing by piracy and watchtowers , we will talk about geology and, taking advantage of dry stone, about transhumance and the various constructions that stand out in these places.
On November 30th, the excursion entitled La pedra seca i el megalithisme will leave from Els Grecs, consisting of a short route through the different huts and constructions of dry stone and discovering the megalithism of the area.
Finally, on December 21 , the route will set course to Cadaqués (one way by bus) to return to Roses following the Camí de les Dones, so named in recognition of the work of the women fishermen from Cadaqués.
In these cases, the duration of the trips can range from 2 to 5 hours and you must bring breakfast, water and suitable clothes and shoes and you will be asked to sign a self-responsibility document at the time of departure .
