The Roses Technology and Manga Fair reaches its 4th edition fully consolidated and with new activities

On tuesday the fourth edition of the Technology and Manga Fair was presented, which will take place on the weekend of March 7 and 8 at the Pista Polivalent in Roses. The venue will be open to the public free of charge from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (for LAND Party participants it will open on Friday), and will offer a wide range of activities and themed areas designed for all audiences: from young people passionate about gaming or manga culture, to families looking for different leisure alternatives.

The Technology and Manga Fair has become, over the three editions held so far, ameeting pointand reference fordigital leisure, technology and Manga, which has opened a new scenario of interaction and innovation for fans of all ages.This afternoon,David Martín,presidentof the Roses Tecnològic Association, organizer of the fair, and Ester Navas, Youth Councilor of the Roses City Council, presented the activities and new features that will be offeredin the edition that will take place from March 6 to 8.

 

For the organizers, the Fair is "a place to meet other fans of digital culture, geeks and friki, which offers attendees a complete entertainment experience, promotes interaction, the possibility of making new friends and sharing experiences, not only for young people but for the whole family. From the association we offer a whole range of initiatives that encompass different interests and ages, a variety that gives a versatile character to generate spaces for interaction and technological learning, promote community and social cohesion, contribute to the local development of Roses as a technological and leisure reference and promote Catalan."

 

The Fair has had the support of the Roses Youth Area since its first edition . Its councilor, Ester Navas , explains that "it is a great satisfaction to see how the Technology and Manga Fair reaches its fourth edition fully consolidated and has become a benchmark for digital leisure and manga culture in Roses. This project encourages youth participation, creativity and social cohesion in technological environments. It is a meeting place for young people and families, which combines competition, fun and community. I would like to thank the work of the Roses Tecnològic Association for growing this event year after year, which positions Roses as an active, innovative municipality committed to youth. We invite everyone to enjoy it on March 7th and 8th at the Pista Polivalent."

 

Simulator Zone and Kittea Bubble, new features of the edition

As a new feature for 2026, the Show will feature professional car simulators, where players will be able to compete in races simultaneously. Kittea Bubble will be the space to take a break between activities, offering the possibility of tasting a bubble tea with surprising flavors or a great chocolate waffle.

 

The venue will also have a giant Scalextric, and several photocalls with the best themed cosplay (Star Wars, Star Trek, Jurassic Park car, Medieval Legends)

 

Thematic spaces

As in previous editions, the Fair will offer themed zones, including the Nintendo Zone, with games such as Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros; the Arcade Zone to play authentic classic arcade games, such as Pimballs, Pac-man, etc.; the Virtual Reality Zone where participants can live immersive experiences; the PlayStation/XBOX Zone with an FC26 tournament; the Retrogaming Zone with access to video consoles of all time and Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball Fighter Z and Street Fighter tournaments; and finally, the Mobile Zone, with three mobile game tournaments: Clash Royale, Brawl Stars and Stumble Guys.

 

LAN Party, the competition is served

 

One of the main attractions of the Fair will be the LAN Party, where players will be able to compete professionally and amateurly in video game tournaments such as Fortnite, Counter Strike, Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant,... by connecting to a local area network (LAN) . It will start on Friday, March 6 at 11 a.m., with exclusive access for previously registered players. The registration fee is €25, places are  limited and there will be prizes for the top three finishers in each tournament.

 

A main screen will broadcast all content from the LAN area, so that spectators can watch the tournaments being played at all times.

 

Activities for all audiences

The activities will be complemented throughout the weekend with Manga and Anime exhibitions; board games; karaoke; costume contests and parades; workshops and talks on Japanese writing, manga drawing or cosplay techniques; war robots area; 3D painting and printing; and the Artist Alley and merchandising area, where local artists will put their creations on sale, from posters, stickers, jewellery, figures...
