MICFootball will bring more than 1,700 people to Roses

Between April 16 and 20, Roses will be the official home of the 23rd edition of the MICFootball tournament. This morning, the mayor of Roses, Josep María Martínez; the councilor for Sports, Miguel Ángel Muñoz; and the tournament director, Juanjo Rovira, presented the match schedule and the impact that the celebration of this sporting event will have on the population over the next week. The event was also attended by the president of AE Roses, Sergi López.

The Mas Oliva and La Vinyassa Stadium fields will host a total of 3-6 matches in the U13 (children) and U15 (cadet) categories over the course of the tournament, which will bring more than 1,700 people to the town who will be staying at different hotel establishments in the town. Renowned teams such as Arsenal, Marseille and PSG will play in Roses. The matches played at the Stadium will be broadcast via streaming via MIC TV.

Record edition

The 23rd edition of the international grassroots football tournament MICFootball (MIC-Mediterranean International Cup) will be the most massive in history, with 444 teams playing 1,092 matches in 43 municipalities in the Girona region. The more than 8,000 players who will participate will be divided into 9 categories, from U12 A to U19. The teams come from more than forty countries on five continents. A total of 161 participating teams are Catalan and of these, 78 are from the Girona region.
