This Sunday, the waters of Roses hosted the 2nd Catalan Llagut League Regatta, bringing together an impressive fleet and more than 450 registered athletes for a day of fixed-seat rowing.

The Empordà weather added to the spectacle, with Tramuntana winds and periods of rain. Faced with these challenging conditions, the race committee and organisers decided to shorten the course by half to ensure the highest level of safety for all teams without compromising the sporting excitement.

Thanks to this adjustment, the event was a great success, featuring intense, fast-paced and closely contested races in which each crew’s strength and technique proved decisive with every stroke. The racecourse was also clearly visible and easily accessible from the harbour breakwater, allowing spectators and supporters to experience the power, effort and excitement of every turn up close.

GEN Roses would like to congratulate and thank all the visiting clubs, praise the teams’ outstanding sportsmanship in the face of adverse conditions, and recognise the tremendous efforts of the volunteers, officials and on-water safety staff who made an event of this scale possible.

All rankings and results by category are available on the Federation’s and the club’s official websites.

See you at the next league regatta!
