10th CETS Permanent Forum

On 30 November, 36 people, 10 from the public sector and 26 from the private sector, attended the 10th Permanent Forum of the CETS (European Charter for Sustainable Tourism) of Cap de Creus, which was held at the Park's headquarters in Vilajuïga.

 

The CETS is an initiative of the EUROPARC Federation that aims to promote the development of sustainable tourism in Europe's protected natural areas.

During the conference, projects such as "LIFEmedCLIFFS", on the management of invasive plants and the conservation of native species; and the Special Protection Areas for Acoustic Quality and the Natural Park of Cap de Creus were presented. An assessment was also made of the actions for 2023 and a forecast for 2024 and the participatory process for the renewal of the CETS was presented.

 

Finally, the certificate of adhesion of tourism companies to the CETS Cap de Creus was awarded to "Càmping & Bungalows Salatà" and "Hotel 1935". These establishments are located in Roses and are the first companies to be accredited with Phase II of the CETS.
